We all have our first steps, even the great ones. From the imperfect AJ1 prototypes, the wrong logos, weird stitching, and incongruous packaging, the sneaker lab is full of wonderful craziness. Mistakes are cleverly transformed into rare and timeless must-haves. We call it Rare Air.

This AJ1 reinterprets the imperfections of early prototypes, turning an unexpected collectible style into a modern and fashionable look.

One-off details such as the deep royal blue "NIKE AIR" woven label, the "NIKE AIR" Wings logo on the collar, and the unprecedented "brushed" Swoosh logo highlight the legendary style of the original design, while the packaging design with different colors on the lid and body of the shoe box adds a touch of timeless beauty.
