For FW25, Mizuno Sportstyle has brought both silhouettes together – welcoming the all-new Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo into the spotlight. An example of two branches from Mizuno’s brand history coming together in tribute to the historical steps prior to this point; 1985’s breakout Morelia, and the introduction of the Prophecy in 2011.

From a historical perspective, the Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo exemplifies a holistic take on the impact that football has had both on and off the pitch. The legacy, intertwined with Japanese tradition and cultural excellence. One for the streets, where footballing flair was born. To commemorate the conjoining of both worlds, Mizuno pointed their new silhouette in the direction of São Paulo as mainstage for the global campaign; the birthplace of Brazilian football, where the Morelia etched permanence within a balanced intersection between product, style and merging eras.

It goes without saying that the Morelia is a cornerstone for Mizuno’s heritage and presence within the footballing world. One immediately recognisable, sporting an upper comprised of K-Leather quilted panelling, high-impact colour schemes across the board, and an aggressive on-foot stance.

On the other hand, Infinity Wave technology has been one of Mizuno’s most recognisable tooling features for some time now, taking pride of place within the brand’s portfolio for over 10 years. Characterised by an aerated Wave Plate setup initially catering to performance, the Prophecy sole soon found its feet in fashion, joining a collection of silhouettes that were once at home away from the streets.
