    The upper features layered mesh and synthetic overlays arranged in a cage-like structure, inspired by artistic concepts of form and function.

    Finesse teams up with ASICS for their first collaboration, reworking the GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 in a soft Desert Rose palette. Drawing inspiration from an Australian flower known for its quiet strength and ability to thrive in harsh conditions, the design balances resilience with understated elegance.

    Founded in Melbourne, Finesse continues its mission of amplifying women’s voices in sneaker culture, both locally and globally. This collaboration reimagines a heritage silhouette through a contemporary, women-led perspective, blending ASICS’ technical legacy with Finesse’s refined aesthetic.

    Featuring sand-toned uppers and subtle petal hues, the pair reflects the natural contrasts of Australia’s desert landscapes. The design is finished with a custom Desert Rose carabiner, created exclusively for the collaboration.

  • GEL-NYC™ 2.0 SSHS


    For the second iteration of the Signature Series, HAL STUDIOS DESIGN THINKING present the GEL-NYC™ 2.0 SSHS, a silhouette inspired by movement, culture, and connection within the streets of New York City.

    The GEL-NYC™ 2.0 SSHS blends heritage running elements with contemporary design language. Layered materials and refined detailing create a premium, urban aesthetic while maintaining a strong connection to ASICS’ performance DNA. Comfort and functionality remain at the core of the design. The midsole features GEL™ technology for enhanced shock absorption, delivering all-day comfort for dynamic city movement.

    The accompanying hero film follows movement through NYC, culminating in a moment of connection and contentment with John Bouquet and Matt Thomas, the duo behind HAL STUDIOS DESIGN THINKING. The still imagery includes Nas and Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan—icons of New York’s music scene and key inspirations for the GEL-NYC™ 2.0 SSHS—alongside notable figures from the city’s creative community such as Lichen, Throwing Fits, and Public Records.

    The GEL-VENTX shoe has been redesigned for today's urban explorer. It combines the features of the GEL-VENTURE 6 trail shoe with contemporary design details.

    The upper is made of layered synthetic leather panels for a modern look. These panels also provide targeted support, ensuring excellent foot stability.

    The outsole incorporates GEL technology in the rearfoot and a trail-specific traction pattern. These components work together to provide optimal shock absorption and grip on all surfaces.
